The National Dog Training Scheme

Welcome to The National Dog Training Scheme by The Dog Training Club!

The National Dog Training Scheme is the premier national dog training award structure celebrating dog training achievements in single activities or across multiple dog training disciplines since 2003.

Uniquely inclusive, this scheme recognises the versatility and dedication of dogs and their handlers training in activities ranging from Obedience and Ring Craft to Agility, Flyball, Scent Hurdle Racing, Rally Obedience, FidoFitness, Heelwork To Music and Canine Cross Country. We even offer biathlon and triathlon awards for dogs excelling in two or three disciplines.

Open to all dogs, pedigree and crossbreed, regardless of age or breed, our scheme boasts six non-competitive award levels in each activity/discipline: Foundation, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Each level is made up of ten skills which the dog and handler, must be able to demonstrate and complete.

Unlike other programmes, our awards can be assessed over up to six weeks by your trainer, whether at a club, event, one-on-one, or even online through our innovative mobile app.

Participants do not need to be members of The Dog Training Club and there are no fees for clubs or trainers to participate. Awards can be registered in the dogs digital award record, to download, for free and there is a only small optional fee for a printed award certificate if required.
